DWSD is maintained by Thomas Krause, a freelance Work Systems Designer and Flight Levels Professional based in Karlsruhe, Germany.

DWSD — Dynamic Work Systems Design — is a way of thinking about and designing how an organization works, describing it as a folder of Markdown files. Each entity is one .md file with a human-readable body and machine-readable YAML frontmatter. The result is an org folder legible to both a new colleague and an AI agent: the organizational harness that lets agents understand how work flows, what the strategy is, and which work systems are involved.

dwsd.md is the neutral methodology layer between three separate brands. Consulting and the commercial product are distinct endeavors; this site focuses on the open approach itself.

Standards & lineage. DWSD descends from the same idea as AGENTS.md and Google's Open Knowledge Format (OKF) — a folder of Markdown that humans and agents read alike. DWSD is conformant with OKF as its organizational profile.
