DWSD.md

Try it yourself

Start with a folder, add Markdown files, hand it to your agent. That's DWSD.

  1. Create a folder for your organization

    terminal
    mkdir my-org && cd my-org
  2. Add an ORG.md root file (a unit with unit-type: organization)

    ORG.md
    ---
    type: unit
    unit-type: organization
    member-of: "[[]]"
    contributes-to: "[[]]"
    ---
    # <Your organization name>
<One line — the top-level DWSD entity. Add work systems, teams, and individuals as separate .md files.>
  3. Add a work system file

A work system is a unit whose unit-type includes work-system (e.g. unit-type: [department, work-system]). flightlevel is still required but no longer the marker. Add one per domain, team, or delivery unit.

    work-system.md
    ---
    type: unit
    unit-type: [department, work-system] # `work-system` in unit-type marks it a work system
flightlevel: 2 # the flight level — required on a work system (carried, not the marker)
contributes-to: "[[]]" # the higher work system this one feeds
    member-of: "[[]]"
delegator: "[[]]" # who delegated this domain
    version: "1.0" # Date/Version (with decision_date)
    decision_date: "2026-01-01"
    review_date: "2026-04-01"
    # term: "" # only when used for a role
