Purpose
The design-for-manufacturing review before a tooling release: Ole Brekke and Yara Ben Salem from HW Base walk Bastian Lorenz through the drawings, starting from the findings the DFM Check Agent has drafted — draft angles, wall thickness, fastener count, tolerances the end-of-line test can hold. Wen Zhao joins when a supplier change is involved. The outcome is a drawing set the plant can build, or a list of changes before the mold is ordered.
Ole calls it when a tooling release approaches. In practice that is late: the plant’s first look at a new enclosure is a few days before fourteen weeks of tooling lead time begin.
Modeling note
Not scheduled, so there is no .mw sibling. Anchored on the
DFM Check column inside the Verification group, and on Manufacturing — the work
system whose people sit on the other side of the table.
