Where do Flight Items of this type come from?

From the Portfolio: a strategic bet (a new product line, a new market), a major fleet contract Sales brings in, or a regulatory change that touches every charger. One epic is one business outcome large enough to span several PIs of the Charger ART.

Why are you working on these? What is the customer value?

Epics are how Voltfeld decides what to become — which chargers, for whom, with what footprint in the plant. Everything smaller is a consequence of one of them.

To whom is the finished Flight Item delivered?

To the market, as a product in the field — and to the Portfolio itself, as the business outcome it funded: revenue in a segment, a certification that opens a country, a cost position.

How long does it take?

Two to four PIs — half a year to a year. Longer when tooling or certification sit on the critical path.
