Board DSL — Examples
Worked dwsd-board examples, from the smallest useful board to a full header
with tints, tags, and a horizontal split. See the reference index
for the per-construct field documentation.
1. Minimal
The smallest useful board: three bare-name columns.
title: Team Board columns: - ToDo - Doing - Done
2. Column modifiers + a split
A column with explicit modifiers and a vertical split into two named sections.
title: Delivery Board flightlevel: FL1 columns: - ToDo - name: InProgress agreements: "Pull only when a slot frees up" aging: 3d max-returns: 3 split: of: - { name: doing, status-category: waiting } - { name: done, status-category: done } - Done
3. Lanes with types + lane-local structure
A named lane, an expedite lane, and a lane whose children are authored as
two parallel groups.
title: Team Board — Q3 Sprint 14 columns: - ToDo - Doing - Done lanes: - Thomas Krause - { name: "Hotfix", type: expedite } - name: Lisa Krieger groups: - { name: "1", columns: [a, b] } - { name: "2", columns: [c, d] }
4. Full header + status-category tint + visible tags + horizontal split
The richest shape: full board header metadata with descriptive board-level
tags:, board-level working agreements: (mixing an inline rule with two
[[wikilink]] entries), a column carrying both a status-category: tint and
visible descriptive tags: chips, and a horizontal split with per-section
status-category:.
title: Team Board — Q3 Sprint 14 flightlevel: FL1 timebox: 5d tags: [delivery, core] agreements: - "Daily-Standup 09:30. WIP per lane: 3. Anything stuck in Review > 2 days → pair-review immediately." - "[[Sprint 14 Goals]]" - "[[Team Working Agreements]]" columns: - ToDo - name: InProgress status-category: in-progress tags: [frontend, backend] - name: Review split: direction: horizontal of: - { name: doing, status-category: waiting } - { name: done, status-category: done } - Done lanes: - Thomas Krause - name: Tom Sand Bau columns: [a, b, c]
In this example the board carries two descriptive tags: chips (delivery,
core); the InProgress column shows an in-progress tint (from
status-category:) and two visible descriptive chips (frontend,
backend) — the two surfaces are independent. The bare ToDo / Done columns
get their tint from the name-match heuristic with no chips.
