Driver and Requirement
The shops can only run smoothly if each shop’s manager has clear, standing authority — without escalating routine trading decisions.
Who is responsible for what?
- Market Street Shop Manager and Station Road Shop Manager — each holds the authority described below for their location.
- Bakery Operations — sets the boundaries and reviews them.
- Mara Holt — delegator; retains authority over range and brand.
Description
Each shop manager — Lena Frei as Market Street Shop Manager, Selin Aydin as Station Road Shop Manager — may decide counter staffing, opening hours within the agreed band (opening no earlier than 6:30, closing no later than 19:00), and next-day replenishment quantities without prior sign-off. Range and pricing sit outside the mandate: the Head Baker curates the range, and changing it is a Bakery Strategy decision under the Daily Range Cap. One mandate, two roles: it covers both location roles at once.
Evaluation Criteria
- Routine trading decisions are made at the shop, not escalated.
- Range and brand stay consistent across locations.
Modeling note
A mandate, not an agreement: Mara Holt handed it over and can
widen, narrow or withdraw it alone. Its for-domain names the two roles that hold it, so
it shows on the box of whoever keeps each role: today Lena and Selin.
